Today I called for a termite inspection as I have done many time for The Palm Yacht & Beach Club. I was told Cheryl had passed away I was in shock. What a wonderful woman only working with her and chatting on the phone for several years. My heart breaks for her husband Wayne and her family, friends and co-workers. Today was my Aunt Cheryl’s funeral. In Florida. Unfortunately, these days, it’s just way too expensive to travel sometimes and for that reason, I was unable to be present this weekend. Well, my body wasn’t present. But my heart certainly was. She was only 52- The youngest of my moms siblings and it was a VERY unexpected loss to our family. I’m thankful for my sister keeping me in the loop by providing me photos to keep and look through over this weekend. Aunt Cheryl, you are missed greatly. I love you so very much and my only regret is that I didn’t communicate with you more as time went on and our lives got busy. Still, no excuse and I have many regrets about that. But you were still loved so very much and are missed greatly. I really wish I could have been there this weekend but know I was there in spirit. My heart was with my family all weekend. To those who didn’t know her, she was a fun lady, and an aunt full of love for her family and nieces. Now enjoy some embarrassing photos of myself as a kid. They mean more now than ever. ♥️ I have so many fun memories of time spent with Aunt Cheryl. It’s crazy to think that at the snap of a finger, no new memories can be made with your loved one. Don’t ever think “I’ll do it tomorrow” when it comes to contacting someone to tell them you love them. You never know when tomorrow is too late. 😢

Cheryl was a wonderfully kind and caring sister who will always live on in my heart. I will always remember her enthusiastic personality and zest for life. My life was made fuller by her being in my life. Enjoy being with the angels now. Susan

Cheryl was truly one of the nicest, kindest people I've had the pleasure of knowing. She was just, in two words....."good people". She had a big heart, a great sense of humor, and an amazing concern for other people. She left us way too soon. The world was such a better place with her in it, and now the world has a hole where Cheryl should be. I'm not real happy with God taking her so soon, but I do thank God for the time that we did have Cheryl here in our midst. If only we could "rewind" and spend more time with her. Wayne, you were a very lucky man to have had the good fortune to call her your companion, your friend, your wife, and your life partner. I am deeply sorry for your huge loss. Cheryl, I know you are looking down seeing us, and I want to you know you were loved so much, by so many. We will miss you for sure.

I will always remember Cheryl's beautiful heart and the smile she wore well daily. I will always cherish how she positively impacted my life daily. My family and I will be forever grateful for all the love and morning prayers. She lead the way in showing me how to be an " UNTIL NOW " person. A person having the ability to positively touch the lives of people in her presence. Whenever I had a miserable day, she would always reply, "Until Now ". I had the pleasure of working with Cheryl for a year or so and its safe to say the office will never be the same without her, lives will not be the same without her. Cheryl was always a light to my day. We all have our tough days, our happiest and sometimes in between however Cheryl always seemed to shine so bright through each and every one of these days. Her signature line "But things are getting better.." followed after any fault spoken of. She never failed to remind everyone that there are always brighter and better things ahead. Her compassion, genuineness, and love was never hard to find and there is no doubting her intentions were always pure even something as simple as making it a point to make sure I was feeling okay every day. Cheryl not only blessed me with the opportunity to experience such a rare beautiful person but blessed me with a closer relationship with the man above and that is something I will forever remember her by. Cheryl helped draw me closer to God and I am so grateful for that. Our joys will be greater, our love will be deeper, and our lives will be more full because we were blessed to even share one moment with you. May you rest in peace beautiful! Cheryl, I miss you so bad, my heart is fully broken. I had the honor and privilege of sharing you in my life and in my family.I knew when you married my brother Wayne, that you were the perfect couple. I miss the frequent weekly phone calls to Mom and I. Your consideration went far beyond the phone calls, the cards, the gifts, the books, the Bible’s, and always your comic strip clippings which you included in every card and gift. You changed sorrow into laughter, and lifted my spirit no matter what was going on. You always had the right words, and backed up with a new found plan. Although I didn't know Cheryl for a long period of time she will have forever impacted my life in my ways, she had a positive outlook on life that brought joy to many others. In the time working with Cheryl I was privileged to see her touch other people's lives first hand, from giving literature to praying with people having a bad day. Cheryl was a wonderful woman who leaves behind a lot of wonderful and happy memories. Her contagious smile and continuous optimism was always a bright light. Having spent the better part of 20 years with her, I can say that she was one of the most vibrant and energetic souls I have ever had the pleasure of having in my life. My life was made better for having her with me for those many years. Cheryl will be greatly missed here on God's earth but is now lighting up the Heaven's above. Rest in Great Peace Cheryl. My name is Rosie Alexandre and the Owner and Founder of Rosie's Bag of Courage. I met Cheryl at a Christian bookstore in that fall of 2016. Cheryl was at the checkout counter with cases of bibles. She said that she gives out bibles to family, friends and customers. I thought to myself, " I could be Cheryl." I told her about my ministry. And she gave me her business card. I really didn't take Cheryl serious, but was impressed with her fire & zeal to help others. A few months later, Cheryl called me to ask if I was still interested in getting some bibles for my ministry. I was so excited and said yesss. From that point on, my relationship with Cheryl was amazing. I shared my goals to help women and children. My past was abusive and I wanted to give back to my community and women's shelters by sharing the Gospel with those persons struggling with pain, low self esteem, low self worth. My goal is to fill as many gift bags with BIBLES, toiletries, candles, journals for women and small toys, coloring books, markers, etc. for children. Each person (0-100+) will have God's message of deliverance. To explain Cheryl's heart: her selfless heart and her motivation to see people free from darkness. To see as many turn to Christ. We shared many talks and tears over the people of Broward County. I would give her biweekly or monthly updates. Every time I spoke to Cheryl about a breakthrough, her eyes lit up. The tears would fall from her face. Cheryl, I am so emotional about your passing. I can't believe you've gone to be with the Lord. But I promise you, my sweet Sister, your "courage bags" legacy will move mountains for Broward. My condolences to Wayne, Bill and family.
