Eleanor Swartz

Eleanor (Cadigan) Swartz was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts to Anna Marie and John F. Cadigan, Sr. on June 1, 1936.  She attended school at Sacred Heart Catholic School in East Boston and graduated from Winthrop High School in 1954.

She worked as a telephone supervisor for the New England Telephone Company.  After relocating to Florida, she attended nursing school and worked in the nursing field doing private duty for years in Boca Raton.

Retiring early, she enjoyed traveling with her daughters in their plant business. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing and crocheting, traveling, boating and enjoying outdoors in the sun. Some of her favorite summers were spent at the New Hampshire cottage enjoying family and friends.  Most of all, she loved church events, Bible Studies and was a prayer warrior.  Eleanor loved to laugh and was personable, gentle and affectionate.

She is survived by her cherished daughters Judy Doyle (Tim), Rona Swartz and Jo-El Swartz; her beloved, sisters Helen Cadigan, Patricia Cadigan, Mary Hodgkins and her sister-in-law, Joan Cadigan; adoring grandchildren: Timmy Doyle (Cara), Danny Doyle (Pam), Christy Doyle (Chad), Joshua Duff, Sean Hunter, Derek Hunter and Kimberly Polsonetti; sweet great-grandchildren, Jonathan Hunter, Michael Hunter, Weston Doyle and Evelyn Doyle and dear nieces Lisa Ferrecchia (Scott), Susan DeBoth and Karen Hodgkins.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her mother and father, Anna and John F. Cadigan, Sr., her sister, Ann Marie Cadigan, brother, Attorney John F. Cadigan, Jr.; daughter, Pamela Joy Davis and great-grandson, Carson Doyle.

A private service was held on March 20, at Calvary Chapel, 2401 West Cypress Creek Road, Fort Lauderdale, Florida with entombment at the Boca Raton Mausoleum, 451 SW 4th Avenue, Boca Raton, Florida.

Eleanor will be fondly missed.  Many treasures of loving memories will be forever in our hearts.
