

Born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Marion and Ann Stewart, he is the beloved husband of Karen (Meszar)
Stewart. He is the brother of Brian Stewart (Barbara) and Marilyn Ries (Gary), Brother-in-law of Karol Hess, Kenneth Meszar (Chris) and Robert Meszar. He is also survived by his step-daughter, Lisa Lorenz (Raymond), dear grandson, Michael Lorenz, twelve nieces and nephews and eighteen great nieces and nephews.
Early in Gary's career he was an entrepreneur and developed a liquid fertilizer for his Cloverdale Lawn Service.
He was the first one in Michigan with a liquid lawn service.
Later he managed the Hummingbirds, a female rock and roll group that toured primarily from Miami to Key West.
Also, other venues including Las Vegas.
He was one of the first food trucks in South Florida.
"The Wagon Wheel" Restaurant on wheels.
From there he started a new company RSI Restoration Services Inc.
He became a vendor for Public Storage.
Following that he started GT Prime a painting business that specialized in commercial jobs painting highway walls along the interstates.
Gary passed peacefully in the arms of his loving wife at the Vitas Hospice center in Ft. Lauderdale.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, February 1, 2018, from 4:30 p.m -8 p.m. at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 4650 N. Federal Highway, Lighthouse Point, Florida 33064. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, February 2nd at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church,731 N. Ocean Blvd. Pompano Beach, FL 33062. Private burial services are planned.
