

James Mucciaccio Sr, age 82, Boynton Beach Florida passed away from a prolonged illness on Saturday, January 10, 2026 surrounded by loving friends and family. James was raised in Dedham, Massachusetts by his parents John and Llaina Mucciaccio and attended Dedham high school. Soon after high school James (Jim) met the love of his life Judy Jordan, on October 10, 1964, they were married. Jim and Judy resided in Randolph, Massachusetts for 35 years and had a beautiful life together.
Jim started a painting business which later turned into a general contracting business which he operated for 25 years specializing in bank and mansion renovations. He was the past president of Painting and Decorating Contractors of America.
Jim retired in 1999 in Delray Beach, Florida where he purchased commercial and residential real estate under the name JJM Properties, LLC.
Jim loved golf, and was a previous member of Delray Dunes, where he met many friends throughout his life. Jim always had the ability to make everyone laugh everywhere he went and had the ability to create smiles. He loved to vacation in Aruba with Judy, swim in the ocean and take walks along the beaches.
Jim was a devout Christian who enjoyed spending time with his family. Beloved husband of Judy Jordan Mucciaccio brother of the late John Mucciaccio Jr, father to Cheryl (Sherry) Segal of Deerfield Beach, FL and James A. Mucciaccio Jr of Deerfield Beach, FL.
He is also survived by his pride and joy grandsons James A. Mucciaccio III of Deerfield Beach, FL, Joseph Mucciaccio of Atlanta, GA, Jordan Segal of Clermont, FL and Zachary Segal of Boynton Beach, FL, with whom whom he enjoyed what he called "boys days," taking them to many places.
Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 11 AM at Horizon Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 4650 N Federal Hwy, Lighthouse Point, FL 33064.
