

On Thursday, January 16, 2020, Jan “John” Kaminski, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully at the age of 66 and was surrounded by his loved ones.
John was born in Poland on August 29, 1953 to Irena and Stanislaw Kaminski. After moving from Poland to New Britain, CT where he resided for many years, he met his wife Christine. They were married for 43 years and had two children.
After to moving to Florida, John worked for Heico Corporation and was recently retired. He was a long time faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in Pompano Beach.
John enjoyed traveling, whether it was weekend getaways, cruising or visiting Europe, especially when he went to Fatima, Portugal. He enjoyed listening to music, attending concerts and dancing. He was an animated storyteller. He loved to talk about his family, the places he had been and the things he had done. He was a Miami Dolphins fan, even though they repeatedly broke his heart.
His son, Christopher, whom he loved and missed very much, preceded John in death along with his parents, Irena and Stanislaw, brother Tadeusz and sister Zosia.
He is survived by his wife Christine, daughter Beata and husband Joe, granddaughter Alexandra (Ali), brothers Joseph and wife Danuta and Roman and wife Marianna, and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Tuesday January 21, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 4650 N. Federal Highway, Lighthouse Point, Florida 33064, where a prayer service will be recited at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday January 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Czestochowa Polish Mission, 2400 N.E. 12th Street, Pompano Beach, FL 33062. Interment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, North Lauderdale, FL.
