Louretta Mae Ward was born in Lumberport, WV on March 17, 1941, grew up in Columbus, OH, and passed away on June 28, 2023, in Boca Raton, FL at the age of 82. Beautiful, elegant, and vivacious, her loving demeanor touched the lives of those who knew her. With her zest for life, she forged a path to Fort Lauderdale where she was delighted by the palm trees, blue skies, and puffy white clouds. She managed the famous Flanigan’s during the glamorous '60s and '70s and embraced the boating lifestyle traveling to other tropical locations. She took flying lessons, expanding her experiences from the sea to the sky.
Louretta ventured into banking and took part in her church ministry programs. She knew how to add a special touch to everything, and she adored spending time with her granddaughter and showering her with love.
At the time of her passing, she was survived by her sons, Greg (Darlene) Ward and Chris (Suzan) DeMeo, granddaughter Chloe Noel Ward, sister Lois Sturm, brother Eddie (Connie) Hammond, nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends who loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Elnora Hammond and brother John Hammond. May she Rest in Peace in God's eternal kingdom. Louretta’s beauty and kindness will live in our hearts and memories.
