Marjorie Vanek

From Brooklyn, New York, she was the beloved daughter of Maria and Dominick Spadoni and cherished mother of Stephanie Heyman, Lisa Calhoun, and Tamara Hunziker. She is survived by her loving family: her daughters and sons-in-law James Calhoun and Scott Hunziker; grandchildren Alana Calhoun and Ali (Calhoun) Ross, Andrew and Gregory Heyman, Jamie and Halle Hunziker; two great-granddaughters Jovana and Romi Heyman; and her nieces and nephews. She will be reunited in Heaven with her predeceased husband Edward Vanek, partner John Pacella, sisters Muriel Buchalter, Harriet Barbuto, and Hesperia Rabetsky, and son-in-law Robert Heyman.

Margie will be fondly remembered for her deep love of family and valuing togetherness, unwavering faith, kind spirit, and grateful heart. She lived a full life abundant in joy and laughter, and found happiness in sharing her passion for travel, dancing, tennis, and cooking Sunday Italian dinners for family and friends.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Lighthouse Point on October 6, 2023 at 9:30am, followed by a celebration of life reception at the Lighthouse Point Tennis Center.
