Born in the Dominican Republic and known to many as "Cuqui", he is the loving father of Emmanuel Anderson, Leonardo Uribe, Christian Anderson, Joseph Anderson and Zahid Pulinario. He is also survived by his sister, Dinora Uribe and cherished grandchildren, Lihana, Jasmyn, Jaidyn, Bella, Brielle, Brooklyn and Arion.
Rafael was a man of many passions, a man of faith and most importantly full of heart. He was a friend, confidant, and an amazing father. Our father migrated to the U.S. as a young man and persevered through many obstacles in life. Through those obstacles he showed that no matter what creed or religion, with hard work and understanding any problem could be overcome. Rafael shared many experiences, like boating and fishing with his sons. As we waited for a bite, we fought, cried, laughed and shared in the adventure, even if we left empty handed. He was beloved by his community, church congregation and family. Rafael more than anything stood for how a father should be to his children. He showed us that when you fall, you pick yourself back up and brush your shoulders off. You stare challenges and obstacles in life in the face while remaining steadfast. We will always raise your name up, to be remembered and rejoiced because you deserved it.
