Ursula Mary Courson

Courson, Ursula M.(nee McGlynn) 88 of Deerfield Beach , passed away on Jan.23, 2021.  Born in New Haven CT.   resident of South Florida since 1952.  Predeceased by her husband, Verda "Mack" Courson, daughter Rosalie Gosselin, parents John and Mary McGlynn, and sisters Margaret Mary Sullivan, Elizabeth Collins, Therese Dallas and Eleanor Brereton.  Survived by children Daniel(Deborah) Courson, Chris(Sharon) Courson and Cindy(Bob) Heekin,  grandchildren Christopher, Chelsey and Daniel Courson, Alyssa(Kameron) King, Robert and Patrick Heekin  and many nieces and nephews.  Ursula was an X-Ray technician at Mercy Hospital before joining North Broward Hospital when they opened 1961 in Pompano Beach. She retired from Boca Raton Orthopedic Group after 19 years.  She was an active member of St. Ambrose Church in Deerfield Beach and was her grandchildren's #1 fan at school functions and sporting events.  Visitation will be Wed. Jan. 27 6-8PM at the Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services 4650 N. Federal Hwy, Lighthouse Point, FL. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 AM on Thursday Jan 28, at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Deerfield Beach. Interment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, N. Lauderdale, FL.
