Born in the Bronx, New York, Walter has lived in South Florida since 1970. He is the beloved husband of the late, Rosemary Schmanski and loving father of Walter V. Schmanski. He is also survived by his wonderful Florida family, Johnny, Aurora, Angelina, Jesses and Josiah Cuevas and Diana Arroyo (Luciano Mendez), Lilly Cortez, Rina and Carlos Diaz, Hershel and Virginia Vaughn and Jose and Sobeida Romero.
A visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Thursday January 9, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel F/L, 2101 West Cypress Creek Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309 (South Chapel). Interment with military honors will follow at 12:30 p.m. at South Florida National Cemetery 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449. Participants are asked to assemble in Funeral Cortege Lane #1 by 12:15 p.m.
