Becky A Merricle Patterson

Becky A. Patterson, 53 of Lima passed away 1:56 p.m. Monday afternoon, October 24, 2011 at Lima Memorial Health Systems. She was born in Lima on April 3, 1958 to Delmar L. and Dorothy M. (Doseck) Merricle, Sr. Becky’s father is deceased; her mother Dorothy survives in Lima. On November 10, 2008, marriage vows were renewed between her and her loving husband, Richard W. Patterson and he survives her in Lima.

Mrs. Patterson is also survived by her children, Gina M. Patterson of Lima and Russell W. Patterson of Columbus, her siblings, Delmar (Mary) Merricle, Jr. of Wapakoneta, Fred (Diane) Merricle of Spencerville and Linda Merricle of Lima. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Norman Koenig, Todd and Allen Merricle, John Strayer, Christine Claflin, Roger Wright, many great nieces and nephews and a 'sister of the heart', Cherie Yost. She was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Merricle.

Becky was a homemaker and had previously been employed at R.G. Dunn and the Nickles Bakery Thrift Store. She was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church, and was a 1976 graduate of Lima Senior High School but had attended Shawnee Schools until her senior year.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 8 p.m. at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home with Pastor W.C. Turner officiating.

Friends and family may call on Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the family.
