

Betty Kennedy Heitmeyer Hoehn, of Lima passed away 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at SRMC. She was born on July 8, 1919 in Delphos to Joseph & Cleo (Clawson) Louth and they precede her in death. She married Edward Kennedy in June, 1940, he died Oct 31, 1962. She married Elmer “Pat” Heitmeyer in 1965 and he died in August, 1987. On April 5, 1991, she married Walter Hoehn who survives in Lima.
She was a graduate of Lima Central High School. She was a homemaker and also worked at F.W. Woolworth as a personnel supervisor. Betty was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, she was a polka booster and a member of the Wapakoneta Eagles # 691. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards and doing crossword puzzles. She and her husband Walter were known as “The Dancing Couple,” as they danced 2-3 times per week.
Betty was preceded in death by her only son, Timothy Edward Kennedy, who died February 10, 2007. Her survivors include a daughter-in-law: Jan Kennedy of Lima, six step-sons: Robert (Dianne) Heitmeyer, Lawrence (Karen) Heitmeyer both of Ft Jennings, Edward (Marcy) Hoehn, Steven (Kathy) Hoehn, Michael Hoehn all of Ottoville and Timothy (Chris) Hoehn of Glandorf’; four step-daughters: Ruth (Terry) Wannemacher of Ottoville, Linda (Randy) Schroeder of Mason, MI, Diane (Terry) Lee and Mary (Darryl) Beggs both of Lima. She is also survived by 27 step-grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011 at St. Charles Catholic Church with Father Steve Blum as celebrant. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Family and friends may call Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. and Friday 2-8 p.m. at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home Lima, Ohio.
