Geraldine Williams

Geraldine Williams, 80, went home to be with the Lord, 5:04 p.m. Thursday evening, October 16, 2014. Geraldine was born December 16, 1933 in Menifee County, Kentucky to Curtis and Marie (Richardson) Wheeler and they preceded her in death. On August 18, 1950 she married Ben Gilbert Williams and he passed away November 28, 2006.

Mrs. Williams was a great homemaker with a green thumb, she was a member of the Lima First Missionary Church, and she dearly loved her church. She was an avid gardener, loved planting flowers and vegetables, she was an excellent quilt maker, loved canning her garden abundance and was generous in giving it away, she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Geraldine is survived by her children, Gary (Barb) Williams, Randall Williams, Darrel (Anita Mosley) Williams, Karen (Kenny) Wortman all of Lima, Greg (Lori Sellers) Williams and Gail (Bret Scott) Kahley both of Ada, Ohio. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, a sister, Gladys Heizer of Dayton, a sister-in-law, Joann Williams of Lima and a brother-in-law Delbert (Edith) Williams of Kentucky. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Shaggy.

Mrs. Williams is also preceded in death by a brother, Robert (Evelyn) Wheeler, brothers-in-laws, Ralph Heizer, Albert Williams, and her sisters –in-laws, Beaureda Colley, Juanita Johnson and Oleta Williams.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon, Monday, October 20, 2014 at SIFERD-ORIANS FUNERAL HOME with Dr. Rev. Timothy White officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends and family can call on Sunday, October 19 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the SIFERD-ORIANS FUNERAL HOME and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
