

James R. Wilmoth, 86, of Lima, died at 8:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, at Lost Creek Care Center. He was born July 3, 1929, in Crewe, VA, the son of Noah R. and Pauline L. (Frank) Wilmoth who preceded him in death. On June 6, 1949, he married Irene P. Boyd who died Oct. 12, 2005.
Surviving are their children: Nick (Cindy) Wilmoth of Dearborn, MI, Martin (Kathy) Wilmoth of Wapakoneta, Daniel (Christine) Wilmoth of Lima, David Wilmoth of Berlin, NH and Jamie Wagner of Lima; eleven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Mr. Wilmoth retired from Sprint. He had been a mechanic for Mohawk Trucking for nineteen years and a motor vehicle transporter for twenty years. He was an Army veteran serving during W.W. II. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 1275, American Legion Post 96 and Zion Lutheran Church, all in Lima. He was also a member of the United Telephone Pioneer Club where he and his wife volunteered for many projects and activities.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, from 1-4 p.m., at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 4:00 p.m., with his son, Nick presiding, with the V.F.W. and the Army Honor Guard providing military rites. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
