

Mack Thomas, Jr., 84, of Lima passed away 4:42 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Lima.. He was born on May 8, 1928 in Montgomery, AL to Mack and Lilly Belle (Long) Thomas who preceded him in death.
Mack was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War era. He began raising his family in Chicago and moved to Lima. He worked in janitorial services and was working at Meijer’s when he retired. Mack was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jean (Routson) Thomas and a son, Reggie (Loretta) Thomas of Lima, as well as six sons, Terry, Tyrice, Terrell, Darryl, Kelvin and Michael (Stephanie) and two daughters, Janise and Jolaine Thomas, all of Chicago. He is also survived by a sister, Hattie Massey of Chicago, his first wife, Judith Thomas of Chicago. Mack has 28 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Two sons, Reggie, Jr. and Arrnell, two grandsons and two brothers, Archie and Willie preceded him in death.
Friends may call Wednesday, January 16, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 am at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints , 1195 Brower Rd., in Lima Burial will follow at Cairo East Cemetery, Cairo, Ohio where there will be Graveside Military Rites conducted by the VFW Post 1275
