

After graduating from Shawnee High School in 1996, Melisa worked as a cashier at the Wal-Mart in Lima for 15 years and volunteered much of her time at Relay for Life and Elida Elementary as a teachers’ aid. She adored her cats, embroidery and rooting for the OSU Buckeyes.
Melisa is survived by her father, Ronald W. Yerger; mother, Penney Ervin; sister, Michelle (Chad) Cramer; nieces and nephews, Alex Spencer, Riley Spencer, Madison Cramer and Elainia Cramer; longtime family friend, Lorraine Ignarski; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Melisa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wayne and Earline Yerger, David and Dorothy Ervin.
Funeral Services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at SIFERD-ORIANS FUNERAL HOME, 506 N. Cable Rd. in Lima with Pastor Kris Browning officiating. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home. A private interment will take place following the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions suggested to the Building Fund for Shawnee Alliance Church in Lima where Melisa attended later during her life.
