

Ruth Annitta Harper, 92, of Lima, died at 3:22 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Springview Manor. She was born Nov. 18, 1917, in Hamilton County, IN., to John Walter and Gail (Fritz) Jordan who preceded her in death. On June 5, 1938, she married William C. Harper, Jr., who died on April 16, 1989.
Mrs. Harper had been a cook for Lima Public Schools. She was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church, now attending Forest Park United Methodist Church, Friends of Couples, Trinity Chapter Order of Eastern Star #16, Lima Assembly 182, Social Order of Beauceant and United Transportation Union Aux. 559.
Surviving are a son, Richard P. Harper of Arroyo City, TX; a daughter-in-law, Lynnette Harper of Lima; a sister, Rosemary (Keith) Hollingsworth of Tipton, IN; eight grandchildren, Richard A. (Tina) Harper, Angela M. (Steve) Mowrer, Susan E. Kehrer, Ruth Ann (Craig) Kavajecz, Joseph W. (Kara) Harper, Carrie L. Harper, Robert E. Harper, Jr. and David A. Harper; a former daughter-in-law, Janet Harper of Paxton, IL and eighteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. Harper, Sr. and a brother, John David Jordan.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, with Rev. Derrick Russell officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Visitation will be on Thursday, from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Forest Park United Methodist Church or Springview Manor.
