Austin Charles Lindemann

Born on January 16th in 1939, passed away peacefully, December 3rd, 2017.

Austin is preceded in death by:

His beloved wife of 39 years, Maryann Angelo; Brother, Herb Lindemann; Aunt, Mary Holian; and parents, Herb & Helen Lindemann.

He is survived by:

Daughter, Christine Lindemann (Teresa & grandkids Aaron, Anthony, Austin, Evan, Jeremy (Ruth) Joey, Levi, Mikey, Rachel (Chris), Sawyer, Tiffany, Trevor); Son, Doug Lindemann (Jodi & granddaughters, Kelsi & Ryley); and several in laws, cousins, nephews, nieces and great grandkids.

Austin was born and raised in San Francisco and attended Catholic School there throughout his childhood. He married the love of his life, Maryann in 1964. Austin is a veteran of the United States Airforce and was honored to serve in the Vietnam war. He was very proud of his 30+ year career as a salesman with Westvaco paper company. In his earlier years, he enjoyed playing tennis with his wife and taking various family trips to Tahoe, Camping and house boating on the Delta.

Later in life, Austin took great pride as a winemaker and winery owner of River Rock Ranch Winery in Lincoln. He loved spending this time with his best friend Flavio as they talked grapes and made wine. He enjoyed all the friendships that he made in the wine industry. In recent years, he developed a strong connection to the culture and beauty of Sayulita, Mexico and treasured his annual trips there. He has always been very proud of his daughter and son and grandkids and all their accomplishments. Austin cared deeply, never missed a birthday and loved being in the company of family and friends.

Family and Friends are invited to the Funeral Services and Celebration of Life at Lincoln Funeral Home, 406 H Street, Lincoln, CA 95648, on Friday, December 15th at 3pm, with reception to follow immediately after.

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks for any donations to be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Knights of Columbus in Austin’s memory. This organization was near and dear to Austin throughout his life.
