Carolynn D. Luchay

She was born in Auburn, Indiana and by the age of 16, moved to California and eventually retired with her husband Dennis in Lincoln, California. She was Dennis’ best friend and companion for over 58 years. Our family would say they were “joined at the hip” and did everything together.

Her family has so many wonderful and special memories of her over her lifetime. As a kid she enjoyed the outdoors, which continued into adulthood in enjoying going tent camping with her family every summer. Many remember her as having the skills of a carpenter and designing and making such things as doll beds, a bird aviary, and a large chicken coop among many other things.

She was a hard worker, loved sewing and was very smart and computer savvy; and helped Dennis with his job in preparing presentations and reports. Always having others in mind, she often shared the word of the Lord her Savior Jesus Christ, and taught many different children’s and adult Bible studies with Dennis. She was an inspiration and role model to her family and we look forward to seeing her again in Heaven.
