Esther and Lamarr started to host the group in their home for the month of November where Esther made her famous pies and turkey. It was through this group that Esther made many friends and joined the Women's group and helped make quilts for charity. She also joined the Red Hat Society and enjoyed attending their luncheons. Having lived in Lincoln for twenty three years, Esther will be laid to rest amongst her friends in the Manzanita cemetery in the Lincoln countryside.
