

Alma Lena Charlotte Hoffman, age 100, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024. She was born on November 12, 1924 to Emil and Emma (Wiemer) Brackhan on a farm south of Waco, Nebraska.
Alma grew up in a musical household and after growing up on the farm, she later moved to Lincoln where she married Louis G. Hoffman on September 7, 1947. She picked up a love for gardening from her time on the farm. Her specialties were tomatoes and strawberries; selling her tomatoes to Gold's Grocery Store in downtown Lincoln. She also became a skilled angler from her time on the farm and went fishing every day with her sister in the creek behind their house. Her grandchildren have special memories of walking with Alma across the dam and teaching them how to fish. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, square-dancing, attending musical shows in Branson with Louis, and playing cards - specifically pinochle and pitch.
Alma was preceded in death by her husband Louis Hoffman; son Wayne Hoffman and son-in-law Stan Parks. She is survived by her two children, son Bruce and Pam Hoffman and daughter Marsha Parks; daughter-in-law Jan Hoffman; four grandsons,1 granddaughter and several great grandchildren.
A visitation for Alma will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 510 S 33rd St, Lincoln, Nebraska 68510, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials in Alma’s honor are designated to Redeemer Lutheran Church or breast cancer awareness. Arrangements entrusted to Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home in Lincoln, Nebraska.
