Barbara Ekstrum, 96, of Lincoln, passed away February 20, 2019. She was born September 17, 1922 to Merrill and Mary (Erwin) Dull at Wilshire, OH. She is survived by her children, Lou (Bill) Hagen, Terri Jo (Harry) Kuzelka and Kermit (Kendra) Ekstrum, in addition to several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Carlton Ray Moore; son, Paul Moore; second husband, Donald Ekstrum, and her sisters, Bettie Leistner and Rosella Vining.
She graduated from Willshire, OH. High school in 1940 and received her nursing RN degree from Methesda Nursing School in Cincinnati, OH.
Her love for family ,traveling, fishing, Horse racing, Nebraska sports and animals filled her days with joy.
Services will be Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 12:30 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th Street in Lincoln. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials have been suggested to the American Diabetes Association or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
