Bernice J. Harting, age 86 of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away February 12, 2026 at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln. She was born August 17, 1939. Bernice grew up on the farm in Denton, Nebraska. She attended Crete High School in Crete, Nebraska. Upon graduation, she attended nursing school and received her LPN degree in Omaha, Nebraska.
She was united in marriage in 1961 to Jesse Harding. She worked in nursing homes, Russel Stovers candy factory, and Gooches Mill packaging pasta. She also worked at Globe Laundry as a seamstress. She then retired to be a homemaker. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing and repairing clothing for people. She enjoyed traveling to Louisville, Nebraska and Minnesota to go camping and fishing with family.
Benice was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Harding, her mother Blanche Tracy, and her sister, Lucille Degenhardt.
Survivors include her brother, Melvin Daniel, sister Darlene Stajner, son Mark Harding, daughter Barbara Barnes, and many grandchildren.
