Brenda Kay (Zessin) Cheever, age 64, passed away surrounded by her family on January 18, 2024. She was born in Lincoln, NE on June 3, 1959 the daughter of Albert Zessin and Dorothy (Welsch) Zessin. Brenda married her soul mate Jeff Cheever on August 17, 1979. Together they grew their family with two wonderful children.
Brenda cared deeply for her family and friends. She enjoyed being outside in the sunshine tending to her plants or relaxing by the pool. So many great memories were made taking RV trips with her family and friends with talks around the fire or playing cards at night. She loved decorating the house with hummingbirds, butterflies, and gnomes.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Victoria. Brenda is survived and missed by children, Angie (Drew) Douglas-Cheever and Josh (Alisha) Cheever; grandchildren, Makayla and Kaden Cheever; Brother Greg (Frances) Zessin; and several nieces and nephews.
A joint Celebration of Life for Jeff and Brenda will be held Saturday April 13th, 2024 from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at Granite City Food and Brewery, 6200O St., Lincoln, NE 68510.
