Charlotte A. Husak

Charlotte A. Husak, 84, of Columbus, Nebraska, passed away on November 24, 2025 in Lincoln. She was born in Valparaiso, Nebraska, to Ladislav and Rose (Stava) Rejda on July 11, 1941. She married Joseph Husak on September 15, 1962 in Loma, Nebraska. They were blessed with one son, Bradley, on July 5, 1977.

Charlotte was fiercely loyal to her family and friends, sharing stories and giving gifts to those closest to her. Her career began in manufacturing before becoming a stay-at-home mom during Brad’s early years. She then returned to the workforce before retiring in the late 1990’s. Her lifelong love of polka music culminated in watching Brad perform with his polka band every chance she had.

She is preceded in death by her husband Joe; her parents; and her brother-in-law Gerald Svoboda.

Charlotte is survived by her son Bradley; sister Joan Svoboda; in-laws Alois and Marge Husak; brother-in-law Richard Husak; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, located at 6800 S 14th St., Lincoln, NE 68512, on December 2, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with a rosary following at 7:00 pm.

A Mass will take place on Wednesday December 3, at 10:00 am, at Saint Teresa Catholic Church, 735 S 36th St, Lincoln, NE 68510.
