Cheryl A Kubicek

Cheryl Ann (Pointer) Kubicek of Lincoln passed away November 19, 2015, from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Omaha to Raymond and Betty (Wood) Pointer on March 19, 1962. Cheryl earned an Associate’s Degree in business from Southeast Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in health care management and a Master’s Degree in Leadership from Bellevue University. Over a more than thirty year career she worked in custodial, business, and health care, often in management and teaching positions.

She is survived by her husband David and son Sean; sisters Sandy Scheer, Linda Pointer, Michael Levermann, Raylene Frazier, and Mary Levermann; many nieces and nephews; many great nieces and great nephews; and best friend Fran Reddick. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Connie Rae Pointer, Debbie Pointer, Patti Pointer, and David Pointer; and nephew Kevin Coffey.

Her memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1, at Lincoln Memorial Park Funeral Home, located near South 14th and Pine Lake Rd. Visitation will be before the service. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Cheryl’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
