Diana L. Dowding

She graduated from Southeast High School in Lincoln. Diana met her husband of 51 years, Lyle E. Dowding, at Hidden Valley golf course and they were married on December 28, 1973. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom and was talented at sewing and a variety of crafts. Diana was a self-employed interior remodeler; specializing in tile work, wallpapering, and painting. Above all else, she adored her family, especially her grandchildren. Every year she made personalized Christmas ornaments for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Lyle; daughter, Lagena Weitzel; son, Tyson (Angie) Dowding; son-in-law, Ed Zach; brother, Mike Staberg; brother-in-law Dean (Gloria) Dowding; grandchildren, Morgan Zach, Lauren Zach, Bryce Zach, Sierra Weitzel, Sydney Weitzel, Sofia Weitzel, Scarlett Weitzel, Gemma Weitzel, Gavin (Mackenzie) Dowding, Grace Dowding; great-grandson, Uriah Weitzel; along with many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tawny Zach; niece, Lori Dowding; nephew, Loren Dowding; brother-in-law, Lynn (Carleen) Dowding; and brother-in-law, Darral (Susan) Dowding.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68512. Funeral service, Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Bennet Community Church, 350 Monroe Street, Bennet, NE 68317. Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Park and Cemetery at 2:30 pm on February 20, 2025. Family and friends will meet at gate 2 prior to the burial. lincolnfh.com
