
Doris M. Kramer, age 94, residing at Grace Pointe at Tabitha in Lincoln, Nebraska entered eternal life on May 28, 2014. She was born on May 28, 1920 to Ernest and Dorothea Belke in New York City the borough of Queens. On September 21, 1940 she married Carl H. Kramer. They lived in New York City until they moved to Valley Stream on Long Island, New York. Doris and Carl had two children Diane and Carl E. Doris worked at a bank in The Wall Street District of New York City several years before she was married. She went back to work in the 1960's to help put Diane and Carl through college. Doris retired in 1983 as Head Accounts receivable bookkeeper for a Fuel Oil Company on Long Island. Doris and Carl retired to Port Richey, Florida. In 2009, Doris moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to Eastmont Towers and then to Grace Pointe at Tabitha in 2013. The Church was important to Doris and she was actively involved throughout her life in many different aspects and ministries of the church. She was proud that her son and son-in-law were both Pastors of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Doris had been a member of The Eastern Star in New York, 2 Organ Clubs in Port Richey Florida, and was an avid reader. Doris loved her family and especially enjoyed the great grandchildren's visits which always brightened her day and gave her a smile. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl H. Kramer in December 2004, Son-in-law The Rev. Paul E. Hauenstein and a great grandson Deion. She is survived by: daughter, Diane Hauenstein of Vero Beach, Florida; son The Rev. Carl E. and Nina Kramer of Wahoo, Nebraska; 6 Grandchildren: Pete Hauenstein of Atlanta, GA; Wendy and Rick Essink of Adams, NE; Lisa Ross of Vero Beach, FL.; Tom and Heather Kramer of Lincoln, NE; Jeanne and Joe Stelmach of Lincoln, NE; and Kathi Hauenstein of Vero Beach, FL. 10 Great Grandchildren: Kyle, Ryan, Adam and Meghan Essink, Devon Evans, AJ Ross, Jacob and Jozlyn Kramer, and Avery and Wyatt Stelmach, and she was anticipating the birth of her Great Grandson in July. Memorials have been designated to Tabitha of Lincoln, NE and Trinity Lutheran Seminary of Columbus, Ohio. Services at a later date.
