

Dwight N. Keith, 70, of Lincoln and Naples, FL passed away August 24, 2015 from Multiple Myeloma due to Agent Orange, in his home surrounded by family. Dwight was born in Superior, Nebraska to Charles N. and Elfrieda Keith (Warneking) on January 18, 1945. Dwight was a graduate of Fremont High School and Wayne State College. He married Merikay Keith (Larsen) in Fremont in 1967 and they had three wonderful children Lisa, Krista and Scott. He served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he received the Distinguished Service Commendation upon his discharge in 1969. Dwight was a certified public accountant and a partner with KPMG LLP. During his 35 year career, he served in various capacities with KPMG and was a member of Nebraska Society of CPAs and American Institute of CPAs. He was managing partner of the Lincoln office upon his retirement in 2004. He was active in professional and civic capacities serving as board member and President of the Lincoln YMCA, Cosmopolitan Club and Country Club of Lincoln. He also was a former member of Rotary Club, served the United Way and was a former elder of Christ Lutheran Church and a founding board member of Christ Lutheran Church Foundation. Dwight and Merikay relocated to Naples, Florida upon his retirement and enjoyed the warmer climate of South Florida as well as many new friends there. He was a board member and treasurer of the Gardenia Court home owners association in Naples. He and Merikay enjoyed having family and friends visit them during the winter months. During his retirement years, he assisted family members with special projects, both financial as well as home improvements. He enjoyed playing golf, attending and watching sporting events, especially Big Red football (most of the time), exercising, investments and family gatherings. His most favorite time was spent with Merikay and family, especially their six wonderful grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Merikay and children and spouses and grandchildren; Lisa Mohr (Paul), Dawson and Connor of Scottsbluff, Krista Stevens (Kevin), Trey and Zach of Lincoln, and Scott Keith, Kenzie and Cruz of Scottsdale, Arizona. He also is survived by his brother, Bill and spouse Barbara Keith, Keller, TX, sisters-in-laws Ileta Munro and spouse, Roland, Overland Park, KS and Dr. Ylene Larsen, Bethesda, MD, special friends, Ricky and Kelly Greene and children, Hailey and Madison, and many nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Terry; parents-in-law, Paul and Dorothy Larsen, sister-in-law, Linda Larsen, brother-in-law, Dr. Robert Langevin and nephew, Jeffrey Keith. Funeral Service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 4325 Sumner Street in Lincoln, NE Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th Lincoln on Friday, August 28, 2015, from 4 - 7 pm with family present from 5-7 pm. No flowers requested.
