Georgia was born August 18, 1931 in Alliance Nebraska. Shortly after her graduation from Chadron High School, she married her soulmate George Osborne, who was a student at Chadron State College. George and Georgia were married 65 years, until his passing in 2014. Their union produced four sons.
Above all Georgia would want to be remembered for her Christian faith. Her sons are always pleased but rarely surprised to meet another person who says that Georgia was instrumental in their faith walk. She lived her faith. Georgia and her husband served people via foreign mission work (Swaziland and Argentina) and were very active in their churches and communities. She wore her faith proudly. She exuded love, grace and patience.
With four sons she also demonstrated tremendous strength and resolve. She was confident in her decisions and actions, and maintained very close relationships, not only with her sons, but also with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Grandma Gigi will be missed, but her entire family knows “where she is now.”
Georgia Osborne is survived by sons Bruce of Lincoln, Brent (Linda) of Des Moines, Brian (Diana) of Kansas City, Brad (Becky) of Atlantic Iowa, brothers Gerry (Jean) of Lincoln and Randy from St. Louis, and her grandchildren and their children.
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7.
