

Nichols, Gerald (Jack), 87, gently passed surrounded by family on May 30, 2015. Born in Two Rivers, WI, on March 5, 1928, to Anton and Margaret. He moved to Devils Lake, ND, as a child. Jack Served in the US Navy from May, 1945, to August, 1946. Upon his return, he met Donna Wicken, the love of his life. They were married on May 17, 1947, and were blessed with 61 years together before her passing in 2008. He brought his family to Lincoln in 1954 for employment at Meadow Gold Dairy and retired in 1990 after 36 years. He enjoyed bowling, trips to Las Vegas and golf, accomplishing a “hole in one”. His greatest joy was his family, being blessed with 8 children, 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren with one more arriving soon. Left to miss him dearly- children Penny (Larry) Krieger, Jackie (Virgil) Dearmont, Tony (Janet), Jerry (Patty), Peg (Russ) Shepard, Bob, Paul Brannen (Son-in-law), grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. Waiting in heaven-wife Donna, daughter Sandy Brannen, son Mark, parents, brothers Robert and James, sisters Josephine and Phyllis. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015 with a Rosary at 7:00p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 S. 14th St. Lincoln, NE. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, St. Peter’s Catholic Church 4500 Duxhall Drive, Lincoln, NE. Interment to follow at Lincoln Memorial Park, Lincoln, NE. Memorials to the Cancer Association.
