Helen was born in March 4, 1925 on a farm nine miles north of Valparaiso, Nebraska. Her parents were Frank and Madeline Pospisil. She was the oldest of five children. She attended a one room schoolhouse for 8 years and obtained her high school diploma from Lincoln High School through a GED program. She attended classes at Southeast Community College and received a Business Administration Certificate from UNL. She also obtained 2 Stenographer Certificates from the US Air Force University. Helen worked two years at the Air National Guard and the rest of her working career was spent working for various insurance companies.
For a single woman in her day and time she accomplished many things but those were not what defined her. Helen embraced the Truth of God in 1955 and became a child of God. She manifested the Spirit of God and His Power in her life by staying true to Him all the rest of her life, her legacy.
She is preceded in death by her son Dennis, both parents, four siblings, one nephew and former husband.
She is survived by her brother-in-law Bob Schulz of Colorado and 6 nephews: Daniel Pospisil of California, Ryan Schulz, Mark Schulz, Keith Schulz, Kevin Schulz, Doug Maynard all of Colorado
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68512. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 2:00 pm also at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home.
