

Jacqueline Ann Slack, age 79, of Creston and later Eagle, passed away surrounded by the family and memories she loved so dearly. Born on March 2, 1947, in Columbus, Nebraska, Jackie lived life with grit, humor, stubbornness, and a heart that never stopped caring for the people she loved.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Slack Jr.; her sons, Joseph Slack III and wife Liana Slack, and Phillip Slack; her grandsons, Ashtan Slack and Nyck Slack; along with daughter Lisa Stenvers and husband Wade Stenvers; their kids Aaron Stenvers and wife Kristen; Ellie Stenvers; Maggie and Russell Lichtenfeld; son Terry Slack; granddaughter Brittany; and her beloved dogs, Bear and Bandit. her brother, Jerry Kuhn and his wife Rita Kuhn
Jackie grew up on a farm in Creston, Nebraska and went to a country school with only 4 kids. She spent time in the national guard and Worked for Burlington Railroad as a welder. She enjoyed the simple things that brought her happiness throughout life. She loved watching oldies television shows, riding motorcycles with her club, spending time with her dogs, fishing, and reading mystery novels. She found joy in adventure, quiet moments, and the company of those she loved most.
She loved fiercely, spoke honestly, and left behind countless memories full of laughter, strength, sarcasm, and love. Her family will remember her larger-than-life personality and the lasting impression she made on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Though she is gone, the stories, memories, and love she shared will remain for generations to come. Jackie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
