Jim Allen, 79, of Lincoln passed away July 16, 2015. James Weyers Allen was born July 27, 1935 to James Havill Allen and Esther (Weyers) Allen at Crab Orchard, NE. He was the 11th generation of the Allen family to call America home. He was united in marriage to Ann Warren on February 15, 1957 in Lincoln. Jim is survived by his wife, Ann Allen of Lincoln; sons, James Warren Allen of Prairie Village, KS; Joseph Todd (Daisy) Allen of Lincoln; Jonathan David Allen of Eagle; and Jeffrey Scott Allen of Eagle; grandchildren, Dr. James Eric Allen of Kansas City, MO; Laura Elizabeth Allen of St. Louis, MO; Joseph Christopher Allen of Lincoln; and Joshua Thomas Allen of Lincoln; brother, Richard Duane Allen and sister, Carolyn Hornung. He was welcomed into heaven by his parents and infant brother, Terry Allen. A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 11 AM at First Lutheran Church (1551 S. 70th Street) in Lincoln. Private interment at Lincoln Memorial Park. There will be no public viewing or visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the National Parkinson Foundation, (P.O. Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741).
