Jeanne' Marion (Rosenthal) Waegli

Jeanne' Marion Waegli Passed away on December 28, 2022 in Camdenton, Missouri at the age of 71 after long bouts with health issues! She was born in Lincoln, NE on September 17, 1951, to LeRoy H. Rosenthal, Sr., and Norma Jean "Kohl" Rosenthal.

She attended Lincoln High School with the class of 1970, then got her GED. She received her Beautician License from Joseph’s College Of Hair Design. She had her own Beauty Salon at JaNay’s Electric Chair Salon, North of “R” Street on N. 48th Street. She brought into her shop her oldest Niece Rochelle as a Hairstylist. When Jeanne’ decided to retire, she turned the business over to her niece!

She was Baptized at Friedens Lutheran Church and raised in the Lutheran Faith as a child. She was a member of Rosemont Church on North 70th Street for many years, and later attended Calvary Community Church. She loved spending time reading her Bible and spending time with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

She lived in Lincoln until August 28th, 2022 and moved to the Camdenton Windsor Estates Nursing Home to be near her sister. She only lived there for four months, until December 28th, 2022 and the only four months of not living in Lincoln, NE, and she loved Nebraska more than life!

She married her first husband Wayne Crosby in 1970, which ended in divorce about 23 years later. She then married her second husband Gary Charles Waegli, Sr. in 1994, who passed away in March 1995 at the age of 44.

She cherished every one of her Nieces and Nephews, along with their growing families!

She was such a loving person, and her family and friends will miss her dearly!

Jeanne’ is survived by her stepson Gerald Charles “Chuck” Waegli, Jr. and step-grandchildren Beverly Waegli and Benjamin Charles Waegli. Brothers: LeRoy H. Rosenthal, Jr. (Joann), Robert D. Rosenthal (Jamie) of Lincoln. Sisters: Sherry L. Haase of Sun Rise Beach, Missouri, Janet L. Froschheiser (John) of Lincoln. Her 8 niece’s and 6 nephew’s, 28 Grand Niece’s and Nephew’s and 21 Great-Grand Niece’s and Nephew’s, many cousins, 3 aunts, and 2 uncles. And her close friend Cindy Rausch!

Preceded in death in Chronological Order by, five Great Grandparents, both sets of Grandparents, Stepfather Robert Snyder, Father-in-law Edward Francis Waegli, Her husband Gary, Grand Nephew Taylor Haase-Cross, Father LeRoy Sr., Mother Norma Jean Snyder, Mother-in-law Eula Mae Waegli, Stepmother Deloris Rosenthal, Brother Scott Snyder, Grand Niece Jade Louise Holle, Grand Niece Morgan Gabriella Haase, Grand Nephew Syler Haase, Brother-in-law Steve Haase.

Cremation took place in Missouri: Her ashes will be buried next to her husband Gary, at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Lincoln, Lancaster County, NE.

Celebration of life: will be held on Thursday June 29, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Calvary Community Church, 4400 N. 1st St, Lincoln, NE. 68521 with Pastor Steve Davenport officiating.

In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be given in care of the family for future designation.
