Jeffrey Wade Waller
26 junio , 1970 – 30 marzo , 2019
Jeff was raised in Lincoln, NE and went to Lincoln East High School. He received a business degree from the University of Nebraska where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He was a truly kind-hearted soul who was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was voracious reader and loved to go to the library. He was always on a quest for knowledge be it regarding politics, sports, music, current events or random obscurities. He had a quick wit and a dry sense of humor.
Jeff loved the outdoors, cooking, listening to podcasts, dogs and children. He read the Washington Post daily and then to get a fair and balanced view, he listened to Fox News! He was a big sports fan. He was a Miami Dolphins fan from a very young age. He rooted for the Cubs and of course, the Huskers. He truly enjoyed NBA Basketball and knew all sorts of stats and history. He took up running as an adult and proudly finished 5 half-marathons.
Jeff’s greatest love though was his son. He was so proud of all of Jackson’s accomplishments and talents. He loved to watch him perform at dance or theater and would often have a video to share from his latest production. He enjoyed taking Jackson camping or hanging out together at the lake. They had some wild video game battles as well. Christmas was always big for him and he tried to find the gift that would bring Jackson a thrill. He loved to watch Jackson’s face light up with delight.
Jeff is survived by his son, Jackson; parents Richard and Joan Waller; sister, Kristin Waller Hannahs (Jeff); brother, Troy Waller (Shelly); niece, Alyssa and nephew, Cole. We will all miss hearing the door open and him coming around the corner with a big smile saying “What’s happening?”

So sorry to hear of Jeff's passing!! Life takes us all different directions and I had not talked to Jeff since Junior High. When I saw his passing in the paper I was taken back in time to some great memories!! Some of my best memories of my childhood was of spending time with him. He was smart way beyond his years and a very creative thinker. His house was a kind of neighborhood meeting place with Jeff always at the center. Sometimes we even stooped to playing his little brother and even his sister!! ; )
I have a couple of old photos of him somewhere. If I find them I will try to send them to "Mr" and "Mrs" Waller.
You had a great son. He was a joy to be around. Treasure his memories!!!! Again so sorry!!!
Blessings to you all from the
the boy over the back fence-

I worked with Jeff at Kohl's. He had a sense of humor that I could appreciate. I would ask him what Jackson was up to and he would always tell me about the production that Jackson was in. He even showed me a video clip he had taken once so I could see how well Jackson performed. He talked about hanging out at the cabin with his parents and Jackson, just relaxing. You were very important to him and I could tell he loved you a lot. I am saddened to hear of his passing and I pray for comfort and healing for you during this difficult time.

Jackson, Joan & Dick:
It brings a smile to my face when I think back to a dance competition at The Orpheum last summer in Omaha. Jeff, Jackson, Joan, Dick, Luke and I walked down to the Old Market, walked through the shops and had a nice meal at Spaghetti Works. Jackson ordered "The Works", which was a large platter with a sampling of all the sauces! Jackson had convinced himself that he would be able to eat the entire platter. Jeff just kept kidding Jackson and was certain Jacksons thoughts were bigger than his stomach! Will never forget that platter of spaghetti, Jeff helping Jackson get the mound of pasta down to look like he made a dent in it and Jeff voting on his favorite sauce was the Spicy Italian. I hope memories like these help in your grieving process. Know that Luke and I are here for all of you.
