Jimmy “Jim” Edward Dreith, born on October 17, 1946, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Edward and Virginia Dreith, passed away on January 30, 2026, at the age of 79 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Jim graduated from Lincoln High School and attended trade school in Milford, Nebraska. Throughout his career, Jim worked at Bills Sheet Metal, American Stores, and an Architect for the Department of Roads, and later retired as the owner of Central Office Equipment. He was cherished by family and friends alike for his kindness, humor, and unwavering support. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Preceded in death by: parents Ed and Virginia Dreith, and his son Jason Dreith.
Survivors: Jim is survived by his children: Jeff (Maureen) Dreith, Jamie (Jeff) Cunningham, Bryan (Jani) Weyers; and grandchildren: Austin Dutcher, Brandon Dreith, Zachary (Jenny) Dreith, Lindsay Cunningham, and Sierra Dreith.
Funeral Service: A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 6th at North American Martyr’s Catholic Church 1101 Isaac Drive Lincoln, Nebraska. 68521 at 10:30am, with a luncheon to follow the service. Burial 1:30pm Lincoln Memorial (gate 2) 6800 South 14th Street Lincoln, Nebraska 68512.
