

JoHannah "Jody" Rose White, age 84, of Lincoln, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Jody was born February 20, 1940 was born in Idaho Springs, CO. Jody is survived by her loving children, Mark (Valerie) White, Denie (Joe) Lipskey; brother, Gerald Spirk; sister, Susie Spirk; grandchildren, Noah White, Alisha Mills, Sophia Spire; great-grandchildren, Kasem, Clara, Lillian; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jody spent her early years in Idaho Springs a small mining town in the Rocky Mountains. Jody and her mother later moved to Lincoln where she attended school. Her mother LaVeta married Gerald Spirk and to this union three of her siblings were born; Jerry, Susie, Rudy. She went to Northeast for two years. She met Donald White they dated for awhile before her Jody's family moved to Gardena, CA. There Jody graduated High School.
She came back to Lincoln that summer. Two weeks later Don and Jody were married. Soon Don and Jody moved to Gardena where their son Mark was born, eight months later they moved back to Lincoln for good. Where their daughter Denie was born. Jody was a stay at home mom through the 60's and 70's sort of. She was constantly involved at her church volunteering for an untold number of events, in many capacities. She also volunteered and held many positions at the Lincoln Symphony, where she was a board member, also the Lincoln Playhouse Guild and W.I.C.S "Women in construction". All while raising two kids and being the bookkeeper for Don's construction Business.
Jody was an artist, and a very good one. Her paintings hang in homes throughout the Lincoln area. Jody an a group of friends shared their art with the public after founding The Avenue Art Gallery at east Park Plaza which lasted for 14 years. Jody spent her later years with a fondness for classic cars. She had a pink Cadillac convertible. She was a member of the Rebels Car Club until her passing.
Jody was a women of faith her entire life. This was manifested into a life of service. Service to her family and friends, her church, to Jesus her Savior and through Charities to many people she never met or didn't know. The people whose lives she touched can not be counted nor the people who will miss her.
A life well lived.
