Julie graduated from Lincoln High School in 1989 and married her high school sweetheart Jon Michal on November 5, 1993.
Sharing the love for children, along with her husband, she decided to become a foster parent in 2000 helping numerous children for over 20 years. During that time Julie decided to follow in her mom's footsteps and became a nurse.She graduated from Southeast Community College's nursing program in 2006.
Julie loved getting her nails done with her sister. She enjoyed watching the Nebraska Huskers football games every fall. Go Big Red! She also loved watching WWE wrestling and her favorite superstar was the Undertaker. She enjoyed going to concerts and rocking out to her favorite band KISS. Most importantly she loved doing activities with her family and grandchildren.
Julie was preceded in death by her husband Jon, parents Richard and Sharon Binder, and sister Trudi Binder.
She is survived by her daughter Michaela & son-in-law John McCart, daughters Shannon, Hope, and McKenna, son's Tyler and Xavier, grandchildren Sarah, Ryan, Michael, and Chloe, sister Amy (Eric) Boop, brother Matthew (Dorothy) Binder, numerous nephews and nieces.
A Celebration of Life for Julie will be held Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska.
Julie will be laid to rest in Lincoln Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 6700 S. 14th Street, Lincoln, NE 68512.
