Kenneth L Bonsall of Lincoln passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on August 7th, 2016. Ken was born on June 22nd 1948 in Grand Island Nebraska to Howard and Hanna (Lien) Bonsall. He graduated from the university of Nebraska in 1971 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Ken worked as an Engineer for the Department of Roads from 1970-1979. In 1979, he started Bonsall Pool and Spa of Lincoln. He was a member of Faith Bible Church. Ken loved his family, traveling, scuba diving and Husker football. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marilyn; son Jeffrey (Jace) of Lincoln; daughter Kendra (Bodi) Gauksson of Lincoln; grandchildren Isla and Neve Bonsall, William, Elsa and Nora Gauksson. Also surviving is sister in law Sally Bonsall of Texas, brother in law Wayne Nelson of Iowa, nephew Mike Bonsall of Texas and niece Betsy Perret of Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Jim. Memorial service will be held Sunday August 14th at 2pm at Faith Bible Church (6201 S 84th St Lincoln Ne 68516). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to Lincoln YoungLife (PO Box 6442 Lincoln Ne 68506) or The Capital Humane Society (6500 S 70th St Lincoln Ne 68516).
