Kenneth D. (K. Dan) Teachout, age 69, of Lincoln, passed away April 14, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 30, 1948 in Shenandoah, IA to Kenneth and June Teachout. He will be remembered as a teacher and minister in the United Methodist Church. He served churches in Filley-Burchard, Davenport-Bruning and Beaver Crossing. He also served as a prison chaplain in Tecumseh.
He enjoyed reading, gardening, music and theatre. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Preceded in death by father, Kenneth G. Teachout and mother in-law, Alma Dorn. Survived by wife of 46 years, Carolyn (Meints) Teachout of Lincoln, NE; daughter, Danielle (Jon) Clark of Pella, IA and their children, Rose and Sterling; son, Thomas (Jill) Teachout of Lincoln, NE and their children, William and Charles; mother, June Teachout of Shenandoah, IA; sister, Roberta Vorwerk of Shenandoah, IA; father in-law, Arnold Dorn of Beatrice, NE and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt, uncle and friends. Memorials suggested to the family for later designation.
