

He was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1965, followed by Wayne State College in 1968. Upon graduation, he worked for numerous insurance agencies, mainly as a Marketing Manager. He started Dietrich Consulting Services in 1995, specializing in Directors & Officers Liability insurance, and retired in 2013 after selling the business.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Beverly Dietrich; daughter, Stacia (Chris) Weber of Ankeny, Iowa; brother, Don Dietrich of Opelika, Alabama; grandchildren, Kyle and Ingrid Weber; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy (Mickle) Dietrich and an infant sister.
Larry will be remembered for his love of 50's and 60's music, classic cars, and all things Chevrolet. He and Beverly spent their retirement years enjoying the warm Dallas sunshine and many special friends at Robson Ranch. His hobbies included tennis, golf, and pickleball, where he was known for his wicked backhand and friendly, easy-going competitive spirit. His best days were behind the wheel of his '56 Chevy or his classic red pickup.
In lieu of flowers, the family will direct memorials in Larry's memory. A memorial celebration of life for Larry will be 10:00 am on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th St., Lincoln, NE 68512. For more information go to www.lincolnfh.com
