Lillian M. King, 95 years, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully in her home on October 2, 2016. She was born on December 25, 1920 in Herkimer, KS to Herman and Alvina Gleue. She was Baptized and Confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Herkimer, KS. She married Edwin Frerking May 5, 1946 and moved to Lincoln, NE where they had 4 children. They became members of the Faith Lutheran Church. Her husband Ed later died in 1959. She then started working for the Willard Sorority as a cook up to 1968. She married Herman L. King in 1970 and then move to Sturgeon, MO. In 1975 her husband, Herman, passed away. She moved back to Lincoln, NE and Faith Lutheran Church, where she quilted with the Golden Needles until she was 90 years old. Lillian is survived by her children Jo Ann Fleming, Leon Frerking, Roberta Welch, Helen Frerking and 4 grandchildren Cassaundra Welch, Brent Welch, Paul Fleming and Shaun Fleming all of Lincoln, NE. She is preceded in death by her, parents, husbands, sisters, Laura and LaFern. Service at 12:30 PM, on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 South 14th St. Pastor Brad Beckman officiating. Visitation Thursday, 4 pm to 8 pm at funeral home. Interment Lincoln Memorial Park
