Marge Harouff

Marge A. (Kindvall) Harouff, age 82, of Lincoln, NE passed away on November 23, 2023. She was born on December 10, 1940 to Ruben and Roberta (Moore) Kindvall in Aurora, NE. She graduated from Bradshaw High School in 1958. She attended Kearney State College, now UNK, earning a Bachelors in Science Degree, majoring in Home Economics Education; where she met her husband Dewey at the student union. Upon graduating she taught home economics for four years in Pierce and Crete. She then went on to work for the Department of Education for 43 years, earning her doctorate degree in 1982. During her time with the Department she earned numerous awards for her contributions to education. Earlier this year Marge and Dewey celebrated 61 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents Ruben and Roberta Kindvall; her brother Robert (Bob) Kindvall; step father Alex Dietrich; sister-in-laws Suzy Phelps, Barbara Folski, Anita Melson and Collen Runge. She is survived by her loving husband Dewey Harouff; niece Jennifer (Michael) Humphrey; great niece Delaney, great nephew Asher and multiple cousins, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday December 4, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St. Lincoln, NE 68512. Memorials in Marge’s honor are designated to the Friendship Home of Lincoln.
