

Naomi Ruth (Earls) McAtee Reinsch, 78, passed away with her family by her side on March 15, 2016. She was born in Swain County, NC, July 30, 1938, the daughter of a subsistence farmer, and raised in the Appalachian Mountains. She moved to Joplin, MO, with her mother and sister and finished High School while working as a Candy Striper. There she met and married her first husband Bill McAtee and moved to California where she worked at Macy’s and had their son, Paul McAtee. They then moved back to Springfield Missouri, and she went back to school eventually graduating from Missouri State University. They then moved to Lincoln Nebraska where she worked as a revenue accounting manager at Centel and Bill passed away shortly thereafter. She met and married her second husband John Reinsch. Naomi excelled at software implementations, accounting and establishing regional accounting centers. She loved singing Christmas carols, religious hymns and Billy Joel. In retirement Naomi loved volunteering and gave of herself by preparing tax returns for seniors at AARP. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, word puzzles, dogs, problem solving, gardening and cooking (best cook ever!) She touched many as she became a caregiver to her own mother, taking her into her own home and caring for her through end of life. Naomi is survived by her husband John Reinsch, her son Paul McAtee, sister Billie Sadler. She was preceded in death by her first husband Bill McAtee, her mother Bessie Earls, her brother Leonard Earls. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations be directed to www.alz.org/nebraska (Alzheimer’s Assoc. Lincoln Chapter).
