Orville Keith Oxford, 74, widely known as Keith, was born in Broken Bow, Nebraska, on September 25th, 1946. He moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa, at 12 years old. He graduated Abraham Lincoln High in 1964, and shortly after, married the love of his life, Jean on November 5th, 1966.
Keith was a mechanic. His career began when he enlisted in the Air Force, and served in the Vietnam war as a fighter jet mechanic. After serving his country, he worked for, what would be his favorite job, the Aerospace program in Lincoln, Nebraska, until President Nixon shut it down. For a short time, he worked for Campbell's soup. He then dedicated 30 years to Kushman's, at a starting pay of $2.50 an hour. He worked there until they closed. His last 10 years were dedicated to the University of Nebraska Lincoln as a mechanic. He spent his retirement on the farm that he worked so hard for, camping, fishing, going on trail rides, and helping his fellow neighbors.
Keith is preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Harriet Oxford; and his younger sister, Karma Louise Rosenbaum. He leaves behind his loving wife Jean Oxford; 2 children, Larry and Cathy; younger sister, Trudy; and his beloved dog, Sammy curly boy.
Keith was a good man and you could always count on him for a helping hand unless you wanted money. He is deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
