

Pat graduated from Lincoln High School 1947 and attended the University of Nebraska College of Business in Lincoln.
She married Donald Beck in 1948. In 1954 she moved to Wisconsin and Iowa. 1959 Pat became an entrepreneur and returned to Lincoln to open a franchise of Manpower, a temporary staffing service. She was ahead of her time for women in successfully starting, owning and operating her Manpower franchise until 1998.
Pat lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico for ten years and then moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. In 2021 she returned to Lincoln.
Pat loved to travel, including internationally with visits to Korea, Japan, Egypt, South America and China among other places.
She was extremely outgoing, enjoyed socializing and organizing people for various activities and giving back to the community by serving as a volunteer for many organizations such as the Santa Fe Visitors Center, the Pillar Institute for Lifelong Learning and the Pikes Peak Philharmonic in Colorado Springs. Pat was a long-time member of P.E.O. International.
Pat had a big personality and lived life to the fullest. She was loving, funny, full of joy and generosity. She loved spending time with her family, especially when celebrating special events like birthdays, graduations and weddings for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by son James (Jim) Beck and daughter Catherine (Cathy) Lund both of Lincoln, five grandchildren: Jennifer, Brent, Eric, Sarah, Stephanie and eight great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will miss her dearly - life won’t be the same without her.
A Celebration of Pat's Life will be scheduled for a later date.
