Patricia Joan Chase

Patricia was born in Adams Nebraska to John and Mildred Rietfors. She graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 1947 and attended classes in Construction Management at the University of Nebraska. After high school, Patricia went to work at the Elgin Watch Company. Later, she worked as a secretary at Banker's Life and used that experience to become Office Manager at All State Insurance.

Patricia married Robert J. Chase July 2, 1948 and they were blessed with a long and happy marriage until his passing in 2005. She took on the role as Business Manager at her husband's business, Ad-A-Lite Electric. In addition, she was Owner and Proprietor of the Glo Shoppe in East Park Plaza Mall.

Family was very important to Patricia as she was always ready to help out her loved ones at any moment. She was an avid reader and enjoyed card games. Never one to be idle, she loved to learn and was constantly striving to improve her computer skills. She loved to entertain at her home and at the family cabin on Lake Waconda.

In her last few years she joined the Windcrest on Van Dorn community where she was well-loved by the staff and the residents. She will be missed.

Patricia is survived by her three children, Sharon Anne Saalfeld, John Robert Chase and James Alan Chase, sisters Glenda Fleischman and Carol Pryor, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Mildred Rietfors, husband Robert J. Chase, sister Beverly, brother John (Max), grand child Gene, and great grandchild Andrew.

A funeral service for Patricia will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE. Following the funeral service will be an interment at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 6700 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE.
