Richard E. Mulder 66, of Lincoln, died Monday, August 14, 2017. Richard was born January 13, 1951 in Davenport, Iowa to Richard G. and Ruth Mulder. He grew up in Lincoln, NE and Prairie Village, KS. He moved back to Lincoln with family for his senior year of high school, graduating from Lincoln Southeast. Richard a.k.a. Rick, Rich or Uncle Frisbee was crazy smart and loved computer programming. He worked as a software engineer for several companies but spent the bulk of his career with Electronic Data Systems. There he would contract out to other companies he found interesting such as AT&T and IBM. He lived in Dallas, Boca Raton, Kansas City and Bozeman but always considered Lincoln home. After retiring from EDS, he became involved with the Lincoln Amateur Radio Club. He enjoyed teaching classes for all levels of Ham Radio. Survived by his brother Robin (Donna) Mulder, his niece Jen (Eric) Riddle and great-niece and great-nephew Emma and Sam. Preceded in death by his parents. Burial at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home following a family graveside service.
