Ross Dean Johnson, 77, went home to be with his Savior, Jesus, on February 1, 2019. Ross was born on October 31, 1941 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Ross was an Army veteran who served in Panama from 1963-1966. Ross worked as an insurance salesman, at American Stores, and last as a printer until retirement. Ross is proceeded in death by his parents- Earnest and Grace Johnson and his wife of 46 years- Alice Johnson. He is survived by: his daughters-Peggy Cline and Sandy Johnson, both of Lincoln; granddaughter-Lauren (Karl) Nelsen also of Lincoln; brother-Roy (Eileen) Johnson of Arizona and many nieces and nephews.
Ross loved Jesus and even in his final days (as most of his memory was gone) could easily quote John 3:16. Ross knew that Jesus loved him and could not wait to meet Him face to face. Ross had a love for eagles and God’s creation. Visitation will be at Lincoln Memorial (6800 S. 14th) on February 7 from 6-8p. Funeral services will be at Temple Baptist Church (4940 Randolph) on February 8 at 10am. Memorials will be given to Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp.
